Narrated Anas: The Prophet said, "When a human being is laid in his grave and his companions return and he even hears their foot steps, two angels come to him and make him sit and ask him: What did you use to say about this man, Muhammad ? He will say: I testify that he is Allah's slave and His Apostle. Then it will be said to him, 'Look at your place in the Hell-Fire. Allah has given you a place in Paradise instead of it.' “The Prophet added, "The dead person will see both his places. But a non-believer or a hypocrite will say to the angels, 'I do not know, but I used to say what the people used to say! It will be said to him, 'Neither did you know nor did you take the guidance (by reciting the Quran).' Then he will be hit with an iron hammer between his two ears, and he will cry and that cry will be heard by whatever approaches him except human beings and Djinns." [Sahih Bukhari. Book 23: Hadith 422]

This notion of life in the grave, questioning and punishing, was borrowed from Jews. Muhammad hadn’t had this idea before Jews of Medina alerted him of this. See the hadith from both Sahih sources:

Narrated Masruq: 'Aisha said that a Jewess came to her and mentioned the punishment in the grave, saying to her, "May Allah protect you from the punishment of the grave." 'Aisha then asked Allah's Apostle about the punishment of the grave. He said, "Yes, (there is) punishment in the grave." 'Aisha added, "After that I never saw Allah's Apostle but seeking refuge with Allah from the punishment in the grave in every prayer he prayed." [Sahih Bukhari. Book: 23, Hadith: 454]
For this reason the sun and moon will be thrown into Hell, and will be fuel for it, to punish those wrongdoers who used to worship them instead of Allah. As the hadith says, "The sun and moon will be rolled up in Hell". (al-Bayhaqi in Shu'ab al-Imaan, and al-Bazzar, al-Isma'eelee and al-Khattabee, see Silsilat al-Hadith as-Saheehah, 1/32)
""There are some whom the Fire will take up to their ankles, others up to their knees, others up to their waists, and others up to their collarbones". According to another report, "up to their necks" (Muslim in Kitaab al-Jannah wa Sifaat Na'imihaa, Baab Shiddat Harr an-Naar, 4/2185)
The Prophet said, "Whoever performs ablution should clean his nose with water by putting the water in it and then blowing it out, and WHOEVER CLEANS HIS PRIVATE PARTS WITH STONES SHOULD DO IT WITH AN {"ODD"} NUMBER OF STONES
Sahih Bukhari Volume 1, Book 4, Number 162:
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Sahih Muslim (20.4651) also writes that the souls of the martyrs live in the bodies of green birds who have their nests in the chandeliers hung from the throne of Allah; they eat the fruits of paradise.

"Narrated AbuSa’id al-Khudri {Radhi Allahu Anhu]: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: A man should not look at the private parts of another man, and a woman should not look at the private parts of another woman. A man should not lie with a
nother man without wearing lower garment under one cover; and a woman should not be lie with another woman without wearing lower garment under one cover. (Sunan of Abu-Dawood – Book 31 Hadith 4007
The people of Paradise will enter Paradise hairless, looking as if their eyes are ringed with kohl, aged thirty three." [Sahîh al-Jâmi' 6/337, no. 7928]
