Jabir reported that Prophet Mohammad صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "A party of my followers will not cease to fight for victory until the Day of Resurrection. He (the Prophet) said, then Jesus, son of Mary, will come down. Their Imam will say," Come and lead our prayer" He will reply, "Some of you are leaders over others on account of divine honour upon these people." (Sahih Muslim)

Prophet Mohammad صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "... then Jesus son of Mary عليه السلام will descend. The leader of the Muslims will say to him, 'Come, lead us in the Prayer', but he will say, 'No, you yourselves are leaders over one another ." This, he will say: this is in view of the honour that Allah has bestowed on this Nation (the Muslim nation)." (Sahih Muslim and Musnad Ahmad)

Prophet Mohammad صلى الله عليه وسلم said: " While the Muslims will be making preparations to fight him (Anti-Christ), they will be lining up (for the Prayer) and the lqamah will have been pronounced, Jesus Son of Mary عليه السلام shall descend and lead them in the Prayer; and Allah's enemy (Anti-Christ) on seeing him (Jesus) shall start dissolving like salt in water. If Jesus عليه السلام were to leave him (Anti-Christ) alone, he (Anti-Christ) would melt to death anyway, but Allah will have him (Anti-Christ) killed by his (Jesus') hand, and he (Jesus) will show the Muslims his (Anti-Christ's) blood on his (Jesus') spear." (Sahih Muslim).

Abu Huraira reported that Prophet Mohammad صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "By the one whose hands my life is in, surely the Son of Mary عليه السلام will descend amongst you as a just ruler. He will destroy the cross (this could mean that Jesus will put a final end to Christianity), kill the pig (meaning Jesus will outlaw raising pigs) and abolish the Jizya (this tax on Christians & Jews will be abolished because Christianity and Judaism will end.)." (Sahih Bukhari)

Prophet Mohammad صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "In the meantime, while the Dajjal will be busy doing this and this, Allah will send down the Messiah son of Mary (Jesus عليه السلام). He (Jesus عليه السلام ) will descend in the eastern part of Damascus, near the white minaret (tower), dressed in the two yellowish garments, with his hands resting on the arms of two angels. When he will bend down his head, water drops will appear trickling down, and when he will raise it, it will appear as though pearl--like drops are rolling down. Any disbeliever whom the air of his breath reaches, and it will reach up to the last limit of his sight, will fall dead. Then, the son of Mary will go in pursuit of the Dajjal, and will overtake him at the gate of Lud , and will kill him." (Sahih Muslim, Tirmizi, Ibn Majah).

Abu Umamah Al-Bahili said, " Prophet Mohammad صلى الله عليه وسلم delivered a speech to us, most of which dealt with the Dajjal (the Anti-Christ) and warned us against him.Umm Sharik bint Abi-'Akr said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, where will the Arabs be at that time?’. Prophet Mohammad صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "At that time they will be few in number; most of them will be in the Bayt al-Maqdis (Jerusalem), and their Imam will be a righteous man. While their Imam is going forward to lead the people in the morning prayer, Isa (Jesus) son of Mary will descend. The Imam will step back, to let Jesus lead the people in prayer, but Jesus will place his hand between the man's shoulders and say, 'Go forward and lead the prayer, for the Iqamah was made for you.' So the Imam will lead the people in prayer… Jesus son of Mary will be a just ruler and leader of my Ummah (Nation). He will break the cross, kill the pigs (outlaw raising pigs), and abolish the Jizyah (tax on Christians & Jews). He will not collect the Sadaqah (charity), so he will not collect sheep and camels. Mutual enmity and hatred will disappear. Every harmful animal will be made harmless, so that a small boy will be able to put his hand into a snake's mouth without being harmed, a small girl will be able to make a lion run away from her, and a wolf will go among sheep as if he were a sheepdog. The Earth will be filled with peace as a container is filled with water. People will be in complete agreement, and only Allah will be worshipped. Wars will cease…” (Ibn Majah, Kitab al-Fitan, Tradition No. 4077, 2: 1363)

Prophet Mohammad صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "Exactly at the time when the Imam of the Muslims will have stepped forward to lead them in the Morning Prayer, Jesus son of Maryعليه السلام shall descend upon them. The Imam will step back so that Jesus may step forward (to lead the Prayer), but Jesus عليه السلام, placing his hand between his two shoulders, will say, "No, you should lead, for the congregation has assembled to follow you. So, the Imam will lead the Prayer. After the salutation, Jesus will say, "Open the gate;" so the gate will be opened. Outside, there will be the Dajjal, along with 70,000 of the armed Jews. As soon as the Anti-Christ sees Jesus (upon whom be peace), he will start dissolving like salt in water, and will flee. Jesus will say, "I shall strike you a blow which will not allow you survive." And he (Jesus عليه السلام) will overtake him (Anti-Christ) at the eastern gate of Lud, and Allah will cause the Jews to be defeated.... And the Earth will be so filled with the Muslims as a vessel is filled with water. The entire world shall recite and follow one and the same Kalimah (the testimony of Islam: There is no god, but Allah. Mohammad is a Messenger of Allah) and none shall be worshipped except Allah." (Ibn Majah).

Prophet Mohammad صلى الله عليه وسلم (while relating the story of the Dajjal) said: "At that time, suddenly Jesus son of Mary عليه السلام shall appear among the Muslims. Then, the people will stand up for the Prayer, and he (Jesus عليه السلام) will be asked, 'Step forward, Oh Spirit of Allah (and lead us in the Prayer); but he (Jesus عليه السلام) will say, 'No, your own leader should step forward and lead the Prayer.' Then, after offering the Morning Prayer, the Muslims shall go forth to fight the Dajjal.' He said, 'When the Liar (Anti-Christ) sees Jesus عليه السلام, he will start dissolving like salt in water. Then, Jesus عليه السلام will advance towards him and will slay him; and it will so happen that the trees and the stones will cry out: 'Oh Spirit of Allah, here is a Jew hiding behind me.' None will be left from among the followers of the Dajjal, whom he (Jesus عليه السلام ) will not kill." (Musnad Ahmad).

Prophet Mohammad صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "Then in the morning, Jesus son of Mary عليه السلام will join the Muslims, and Allah will cause the Dajjal and his followers to be routed, until the walls and the roots of the trees will call out: "Oh believer, here is a disbeliever hidden behind me: come and kill him." (Musnad Ahmad and Al-Hakim).

Based on Abu Umamah Al-Bahili, Prophet Mohammad صلى الله عليه وسلم said: " Every Kaafir (Disbeliever) who smells his sweet breath will die and his breath will reach as far as he can see. On seeing prophet Jesus عليه السلام , Imam Mahdi will take a couple of steps backwards so Prophet Jesus عليه السلام can lead the prayer; however, Prophet Jesus عليه السلام will place his hands on the Imam's shoulder and will say: 'Go forward and lead the prayer as the Iqamah was made for you'. Thus Imam Mahdi will lead the prayer." ( Ibn-Majah).

Abu Huraira narrated that Prophet Mohammad صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "How will you be if the Son of Mary (Jesus عليه السلام) descends on you and your Imam (leader of prayer) is one of you?" (Sahih Bukhari)

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم as saying: "The Last Hour will not come until the Muslims fight against the Jews and the Muslims kill them to the extent that the Jews will hide behind a rock or a tree and the rock or the tree will say: O' Muslim, the servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him; but the Gharqad tree ( Boxthorn tree) will not say that because it is the tree of the Jews." (Sahih Muslim) The Jews are currently planting lots of Gharqad trees in Israel to protect them.

. Where will Jesus عليه السلام descend from Heaven?

Some narrations indicate Jesus will descend in Damascus, while other narrations indicate Jerusalem:

Then, the son of Mary will go in pursuit of the Dajjal, and will overtake him at the gate of Lud (a city 13 miles east of Tel Aviv, Israel), and will kill him." (Sahih Muslim, Tirmizi, Ibn Majah).

Abu Umamah Al-Bahili said, " Prophet Mohammad صلى الله عليه وسلم delivered a speech to us, most of which dealt with the Dajjal (the Anti-Christ) and warned us against him.Umm Sharik bint Abi'l-'Akr said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, where will the Arabs be at that time?’. Wars will cease…” (Ibn Majah, Kitab al-Fitan, Tradition No. 4077, 2: 1363)

8. Where will Jesus عليه السلام kill the Anti-Christ ?

Some narrations indicate Jesus will kill the Anti-Christ in Lud (near Tel Aviv, Israel), while other narrations indicate it will be near Afiq, close to Lake Tiberias (Sea of Galilee). Some scholars such as Al-Ahwazi believe that Lud does not refer to a name of a city or location, but rather it means Fitna (strife, trial, or tribulation).

Any disbeliever whom the air of his breath reaches, and it will reach up to the last limit of his sight, will fall dead. Then, the son of Mary will go in pursuit of the Dajjal, and will overtake him at the gate of Lud, and will kill him." (Sahih Muslim, Tirmizi, Ibn Majah).

Prophet Mohammad صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "Then Jesus عليه السلام will descend, and Allah will cause the Dajjal to be killed near the mountain pass of Afiq (in Palestine, few miles from Lake Tiberias, called by Israelis 'Sea of Galilee') ." (Musnad Ahmad).

Mujm'e bin Jariya Al-Ansari narrated that Prophet Mohammad صلى الله عليه وسلم said: " Son of Mary (meaning Jesus) will kill the Dajjal (Anti-Christ) at a door of Lud." (Tirmizi, Ahmad, Tabarani, Ibn Hayan, Abu Dawood Al-Tayalisi) . Tirmizi classified it as a Sahih Hadith.

9. The Wisdom in the Descent of Prophet Jesus

Sunni Muslim scholars have given many different reasons for the return of Prophet Jesus عليه السلام to this World. A few are listed below:

1) The Jews believe that they killed Prophet Jesus عليه السلام , Allah will send him before the end of time to prove that they did not killed him and that he is alive. It is Jesus who will fight the Jews and kill their leader, the Dajjal. (Ibn Hajar Al'Asqalani's Fathul-Bari)

2) Some scholars have said that Prophet Jesus عليه السلام found many virtues of the followers of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم in the Bible and thus he prayed to Allah to make him amongst the nation of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم . Allah answered his prayer and he will return for the second time as one of the followers of Prophet Muhammad (Ibn Khathir)

3) It is the Law of Allah that anything created from the Earth has to be buried in the Earth and not in the Heavens. Thus, he will return to the Earth for the second time, kill the Dajjal, live for a period of time and then he will die a natural death and will be buried near the Prophet Mohammad (Muhammad Al-Barzanji's book Al-Isha'ah li Ashrat AsSaa'h).

10. Prophet Jesus عليه السلام and the Ya'juj Ma'juj (Gog Magog)

Nawwas bin Sam'an narrated that Prophet Mohammad صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

" .... (After the Dajjal appears with his trails and tribulations,) it will at this very time that Allah will send the Messiah, son of Mary. He will descend at the white minaret on the eastern side of Damascus, wearing two garments lightly dyed with saffron and placing his hands on the wings of two Angels. When he lowers his head, there will fall beads of perspiration from his head, and when he raises it up, beads like pearls will scatter from it. Every non-believer who smells the odour of his body will die and his breath will reach as far as he is able to see. He will then go after (the Dajjal) until he catches him at the gate of Lud and kills him. Then, a people whom Allah had protected will come to Jesus, son of Mary, and he will wipe their faces and inform them of their ranks in Paradise.

It will be under such conditions that Allah will reveal to Jesus the following words: 'I have brought forth from among My servants such people against whom none will be able to fight; you take these people safely to Tur (mountain).' Then, Allah will send Gog and Magog and they will swarm down from every slope. The first of them (Gog and Magog) will pass the lake of Tiberias (Sea of Galilee) and drink out of it. And when the last of them passes, he will say: 'There was once water there.'

Jesus and his companions will then be besieged here (at Tur mountain, and they will be so hard pressed) to the extent that an ox will be more valuable to them than one hundred Dinars (Arabic currency). Allah's Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said, Jesus, and his companions will supplicate (pray) to Allah, who will send to them (Gog and Magog) insects (which will attack their necks) and in the morning, they would perish as one single person. Allah's Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said, Jesus, and his companions will then come down (from Tur mountain) and they will not find as much space as a single span that is not filled with decomposed remains of Gog and Magog's corpses. Allah's Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said, Jesus, and his companions will then supplicate to Allah who will send birds whose necks would be like those (the necks) of Bactrian camels and they will carry them (Gog and Magog) away and throw them where Allah wills.

Then Allah will send rain which no house of mud-bricks or (tent of) camel-hair will keep out and it will wash the Earth until it resembles a mirror. Then, the Earth will be ordered (by Allah) to bring forth its fruit and restore its blessing and, as a result thereof, pomegranate will grow that will be enough for a group of people to eat and seek shelter under its skin. A dairy cow will give so much milk that (will be enough for) a group of people to drink. The milking camel will give so such milk that a whole tribe will be able to drink from it...

At that time, Allah will send a pleasant wind which will soothe (people) even under their armpits. He will take the life of every Muslim and only the wicked will survive who will commit adultery like donkeys and the Last Hour would come to them." (Sahih Muslim)

11. Prophet Jesus عليه السلام as a Just Judge

Abu Huraira narrated that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "By whom my soul is in his hand, soon, the Son of Mary (Jesus) will come down to be among you as a just Judge. He will break the cross, kill (outlaw raising) the pig, and abolish the Jizya (tax on Christians & Jews because Christianity and Judaism will end). There will be abundance (surplus or outflow) in Wealth (and money) to the extent that no one will accept it (if you want to give charity) and a single prostration (in prayer to Allah) will be better than the World and all what is in it." ( Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim)

12. Islam will spread and the World will be ruled according to Islam

There is no Hadith that mentions that Jesus will rule the World. However, there are Hadith that indicate Islam will spread throughout the World and the World will be ruled according to laws of Islam. Furthermore, Jesus will ensure that Christianity and Judaism will no longer be practiced.

Thawban said that The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "Allah, the Exalted, unfolded for me the Earth, to the extent that I saw its Eastern and Western sides (i.e. the extremities). The Kingdom of my Ummah (nation) will reach as far as what has been unfolded to me. The two treasures, the red (Persian Kingdom) and the white (Roman Empire), were bestowed on me.... " (Sahih Muslim and Ibn Kathir)

The word of Islam will spread throughout the World, enter every home, and no one will be left who has not heard of it.

Al-Miqdad ibn Aswad said I heard the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم say: "Not a dwelling (house) whether of brick, or fur will remain on the surface of the Earth that Allah will not ensure that the word of Islam enters it, either honoring an honorable person or disgracing an abject person." (Imam Ahmad, At-Tabarani, Ibn Hibban, Al-Haakim, Al-Albany)

A variation of this hadith reported by Al-Albany in AsSahiha states:

قال صلى الله عليه وسلم: «ليبلغن هذا الأمر مبلغ الليل والنهار، بعز عزيز، وبذل ذليل، عزاً يعز الله به الإسلام، وذلاً يذل به الكفر»

Prophet Mohammad صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "This matter (Islam) will reach as far as Day and Night (can reach), honoring an honorable and dishonoring (disgracing) a dishonorable (lowlife, who deserves to be disgraced or humiliated). An honor by which Allah honors Islam and a disgrace by which Allah disgraces disbelief." (Al-Albany)

13. Blessings at the time of Prophet Jesus

All types of spiritual and worldly blessings will descend on Earth in his time.

- There will be an abundance in wealth. Wealth will flow like water. The Islamic government will be wealthy and all people will be financially well-off, having lots of wealth and property, to the extent that nobody will be in the need of Zakat (tax) and Sadaqa (charity). People will no longer have to pay Zakat and Sadaqa.

- All hearts will be free from misery, envy, malice, and jealousy.

- Each harmful animal will be made harmless. Camels will graze with the lions and the cheetahs with cattle. A little girl will chase a lion and make it run away from her like children chasing a puppy and this lion will not harm her. Venom will be taken out from all venomous animals, a little boy will put his hand in a snake's mouth, but it will not harm him. The wolf will live with the sheep and protect them as if it were a sheep dog.

- Peace, harmony and tranquillity will prevail in the world. People will be in complete agreement, wars will cease, the earth will be filled with peace like a silver basin and it will sprout with vegetation like at the time of Prophet Adam عليه السلام .

- The fertility of the land will increase to the extent that if a seed is planted in a rock, it will sprout. 700 mudd of wheat will sprout without ploughing the land. The Earth will produce so much fruit that a large group of people will sit to eat a bunch of grapes or a pomegranate and they will be satisfied and use it's peel as an umbrella.

- There will also be blessing in milk. The milk of a single she camel will be sufficient to satisfy the hunger of a large group of people. A cow will produce what is sufficient for a tribe of people, and a sheep will produce milk, which is sufficient for a family of people.

- Horses will be cheap as they will be never ridden in war and bulls will be expensive, as they will be needed to plough the land.

- Life will be very pleasant and enjoyable after Jesus' descent from Heaven and people will live in comfortably during Jesus' reign as a Muslim Caliph.

(Nawwas bin Sarnaan /Muslim and Abu Umamah/Ibn Majah)

14. Jesus will perform Hajj (Pilgrimage) like Muslims

Prophet Mohammad صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "By Him in Whose Hand is my life (meaning I swear By Allah that), Son of Mary (Jesus) will make Talbiya (required declaration) for performing Hajj (Pilgrimage) or for Umrah or for both in the valley of Rawda." (Sahih Muslim)

Prophet Mohammad صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "Jesus, Son of Mary عليه السلام shall descend; then he will kill the pig and destroy the Cross; and a congregation will be held for him for the Prayer; and he will distribute so much wealth that people will be satiated with it; and he will abolish the Jizya (tribute tax on Christians & Jews) ; and he will camp at Rawda (a place at a distance 35 miles from Madina), and from there will go to perform Hajj or 'Umrah, or both." (Sahih Muslim).

Abdullah bin 'Amr narrated that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, " The Dajjal (Anti-Christ) will appear in my Ummah, and will remain for forty - I cannot say whether he meant forty days, forty months or forty years. Then Allah will send Jesus son of Mary, who looks like Urwah bin Masud. He (Jesus) will chase the Dajjal and kill him. Then, people will stay for seven years during which there will be no enmity between any two persons. Then, Allah will send a cool wind from the direction of AshSham (Greater Syria), which will take the soul of everyone who has the slightest speck of good or faith in his heart. Even if one of you were to enter the heart of a mountain, the wind would reach him there and take his soul. Only the most wicked people will be left; they will be as careless as birds, with the characteristics of beasts, and will have no concern for right and wrong. Then, Satan will come to them in human form and say: 'Don't you respond?' And they will say: 'What do you order us to do?' And he (Satan) will order them to worship the idols but, in spite of this, they will have abundance of sustenance and lead comfortable lives. Then, the trumpet will be blown and no one will hear that but he will bend his neck and raise it. He (the Prophet) said 'The first one to hear that trumpet will be the person who will be busy repairing the water reservoir for his camels (to drink). He will be struck and the other people will also struck, then Allah will send or He (the Prophet) said will bring down rain which will be like men's semen, out of which the bodies of the (dead) people will grow. Then the trumpet will be blown another time and they (dead people) will be resurrected and be looking around.' Then it will be said: 'O people, go to your Lord (God)'. Then he (the Prophet) mentioned verse 24 of Chapter 37: 'Stop them for they must be questioned.' He (the Prophet) said "Then it will be said 'Bring out the groups of Hell-Fire'. It will be said'How many ? ' It will be said: 'Out of every one thousand, nine hundred ninety nine.' Then, He (the Prophet) said: 'That is the day (and he mentioned the end of verse 17 of Chapter 73) that makes children turn grey-haired.' Then he mentioned the end of verse 42 of Chapter 68: 'The day that reveals the great affliction, and they will be called to prostrate, but they can not.' " (Sahih Muslim)

Abu Huraira narrated that Prophet Mohammad صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "There is no prophet between me and him (Jesus Christ عليه السلام ). He shall descend so, recognize him when you see him. He is a man of medium height, (his complexion) is between reddish and white; he will be (dressed) in two yellowish garments; His head looks as if it is dripping water even though it is not wet. He will fight people in the cause (for the sake) of Islam, will break the Cross and kill the swine (pig) and abolish Jizya (tax on Christians and Jews); and Allah will put an end to all religious sects except Islam during his (Jesus') time. He (Jesus) will slay the Antichrist (Dajjal) and he will stay on Earth for 40 years. Then, he will die and the Muslims will perform the funeral prayer for him." (Abu Dawud and Musnad Ahmad).

Othman bin Al-Dhahak based Mohammad bin Yousef bin Abullah in Salam, based on his grandfather, said: "Jesus son of Mary will be buried with the Messenger of Allah , along with Abu Bakr and Omar, such that his coffin will be the fourth." (Tabarani)

Abdullah bin Amr narrated that Allah’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said that the Messiah will die after completing the duration he was destined to pass in the World and that Muslims will offer his funeral prayers and bury him next to the grave of the Prophet (Mohammad). (Mishkat, p. 480)

Narrated Abu Huraira:

A man came to the Prophet () and demanded a camel (the Prophet () owed him). Allah's Messenger () told his companions to give him (a camel). They said, "We do not find except an older camel (than what he demands). (The Prophet () ordered them to give him that camel). The man said, "You have paid me in full and may Allah also pay you in full." Allah's Messenger () said, "Give him, for the best amongst the people is he who repays his debts in the most handsome manner."

Narrated Abu Dhar:

Once, while I was in the company of the Prophet, he saw the mountain of Uhud and said, "I would not like to have this mountain turned into gold for me unless nothing of it, not even a single Dinar remains of it with me for more than three days (i.e. I will spend all of it in Allah's Cause), except that Dinar which I will keep for repaying debts." Then he said, "Those who are rich in this world would have little reward in the Hereafter except those who spend their money here and there (in Allah's Cause), and they are few in number." Then he ordered me to stay at my place and went not far away. I heard a voice and intended to go to him but I remembered his order, "Stay at your place till I return." On his return I said, "O Allah's Messenger ()! (What was) that noise which I heard?" He said, "Did you hear anything?" I said, "Yes." He said, "Gabriel came and said to me, 'Whoever amongst your followers dies, worshipping none along with Allah, will enter Paradise.' " I said, "Even if he did such-and-such things (i.e. even if he stole or committed illegal sexual intercourse)" He said, "Yes."

Narrated Anas bin Malik: Allah's Apostle was on a journey and he had a black slave called Anjasha, and he was driving the camels (very fast, and there were women riding on those camels). Allah's Apostle said, "Waihaka (May Allah be merciful to you), O Anjasha! Drive slowly (the camels) with the glass vessels (women)!" ( Sahih bukhari Book #73, Hadith #182)

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: The best women who ride the camels are the pious women of the Quraish; they treat with affection children in their childhood and keep a strict watch on the wealth of their spouses. (SAHIH MUSLIM BOOK 31,NO.2527
Allah also says: "Alif-Lm-Mm. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur'n, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] Do people think that they will be left alone because they say: "We believe," and will not be tested. And We indeed (((((tested )))))those who were before them. And Allah will certainly make (it) known (the truth of) those who are true, and will certainly make (it) known (the falsehood of) those who are liars, (although Allah knows all that before putting them to test)." HADITH Sahih Bukhari [6:61:577] Narrated 'Ali:

I heard the Prophet saying, "In the last days (of the world) there will appear young people with foolish thoughts and ideas. They will give good talks, but they will go out of Islam as an arrow goes out of its game, their faith will not exceed their throats. So, wherever you find them, kill them, for there will be a reward for their killers on the Day of Resurrection."

Narrated Abu Said: The people of (the tribe of) Quraiza agreed upon to accept the verdict of Sa'd. The Prophet sent for him (Sa'd) and he came. The Prophet said (to those people), "Get up for your chief or the best among you!" Sa'd sat beside the Prophet and the Prophet said (to him), "These people have agreed to accept your verdict." Sa'd said, "So I give my judgment that their warriors should be killed and their women and children should be taken as captives." The Prophet said, "You have judged according to the King's (Allah's) judgment." (See Hadith sahih Bukhari No. 447, Vol. 5) ( Book #74, Hadith #278)

ALLAH CONTRADICS HIS WORD ?

Surah 6:115

The word of thy Lord doth find its fulfilment in truth and in justice: None can change His words: for He is the one who heareth and knoweth all. S. 6:115

Surah 18:27

And recite (and teach) what has been revealed to thee of the Book of thy Lord: none can change His Words, and none wilt thou find as a refuge other than Him. S. 18:27

versus

“Do you (faithful believers) covet that they will belive in your religion in spite of the fact that a party of them (Jewish rabbis) used to hear the Word of Allaah (the Tawraat), then they used to change it knowingly after they understood it?” [al-Baqarah 2:75]

But those who were unjust changed it for a saying other than that which had been spoken to them, so We sent upon those who were unjust a pestilence from heaven, because they transgressed.(Qur'an
2:59)

When Jesus found unbelief on their part, he said: "Who will be my helpers to (the work of) Allah?" Said the Disciples: "We are Allah's helpers: we believe in Allah, and you bear witness that-we are Muslims.
[3: Al-Imran-52]

Ibrahim was not a Jew nor a Christian but he was (an) upright (man), a Muslim, and he was not one of the polytheists.(Surah 3:67)

MUSLIM BOOK DiSTORTED?

(As for) those who take a small price for the covenant of Allah and their own oaths-- surely they shall have no portion in the hereafter, and Allah will not speak to them, nor will He look upon them on the day of resurrection nor will He purify them, and they shall have a painful chastisement. Most surely there is a party amongst those who distort the Book with their tongue that you may consider it to be (a part) of the Book, and they say, It is from Allah, while it is not from Allah, and they tell a lie against Allah whilst they know. It is not meet for a mortal that Allah should give him the Book and the wisdom and prophethood, then he should say to men: Be my servants rather than Allah's; but rather (he would say): Be worshipers of the Lord because of your teaching the Book and your reading (it yourselves).(Qur'an 3:77-79)

Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands, and then say:"This is from Allah," to traffic with it for miserable price!- Woe to them for what their hands do write, and for the gain they make thereby.(Surah 2:79)

MUHAMMAD DOUBT THE QURA'N?
So if you are in doubt, [O Muhammad], about that which We have revealed to you, then ask those who have been reading the Scripture before you. The truth has certainly come to you from your Lord, so never be among the doubters.(Surah 10:94)

narrated on the authority 'Abdullah b. Mas'ud that the Messenger of God observed: Never a Prophet had been sent before me by God towards his nation who had not among his people (his) disciples and companions who followed his ways and obeyed his command. Then there came after them their successors who said whatever they did not practise, and practised whatever they were not commanded to do. He who strove against them with his hand was a believer: he who strove against them with his tongue was a believer, and he who strove against them with his heart was a believer and beyond that there is no faith even to the extent of a mustard seed. Abu Rafi' said: I narrated this hadith to 'Abdullah b. 'Umar; he contradicted me. There happened to come 'Abdullah b. Mas'ud who stayed at Qanat, and 'Abdullah b 'Umar wanted me to accompany him for visiting him (as 'Abdullah b. Mas'ud was ailing), so I went along with him and as we sat (before him) I asked Ibn Mas'ud about this hadith. He narrated it in the same way as I narrated it to Ibn 'Umar. The same hadith has been transmitted by another chain of narrators on the authority of 'Abdullah b. Mas'ud who observed: Never was there one among the prophets who had had not disciples who followed his direction and followed his ways. The remaining part of the hadith is like that as narrated by Salih but the arrival of Ibn Mas'ud and the meeting of Ibn 'Umar with him is not mentioned.

When the prophet came out of his mothers vagina, the light covered the east and the west which reached all the way to Sham (Syria today)

sirat ibn hisham 166

The Prophet said, "A group of Israelites were lost. Nobody knows what they did. But I do not see them except that they were cursed and changed into rats, for if you put the milk of a she-camel in front of a rat, it will not drink it, but if the milk of a sheep is put in front of it, it will drink it." I told this to Ka'b who asked me, "Did you hear it from the Prophet ?" I said, "Yes." Ka'b asked me the same question several times.; I said to Ka'b. "Do I read the Torah? (i.e. I tell you this from the Prophet.)"

Sahih Bukhari 4:54:524

Narrated Abu Said: A man came to the prophet and said, 'My brother has got loose motions. The Prophet said, Let him drink honey." The man again (came) and said, 'I made him drink (honey) but that made him worse.' The Prophet said, 'Allah has said the Truth, and the abdomen of your brother has told a lie."

My uncle Zuhair said, "Allah's Messenger () forbade us to do a thing which was a source of help to us." I said, "Whatever Allah's Messenger () said was right." He said, "Allah's Messenger () sent for me and asked, 'What are you doing with your farms?' I replied, 'We give our farms on rent on the basis that we get the yield produced at the banks of the water streams (rivers) for the rent, or rent it for some Wasqs of barley and dates.' Allah's Messenger () said, 'Do not do so, but cultivate (the land) yourselves or let it be cultivated by others gratis, or keep it uncultivated.' I said, 'We hear and obey.'

Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah's Messenger () deputed me to keep Sadaqat (al-Fitr) of Ramadan. A comer came and started taking handfuls of the foodstuff (of the Sadaqa) (stealthily). I took hold of him and said, "By Allah, I will take you to Allah's Messenger () ." He said, "I am needy and have many dependents, and I am in great need." I released him, and in the morning Allah's Messenger () asked me, "What did your prisoner do yesterday?" I said, "O Allah's Messenger ()! The person complained of being needy and of having many dependents, so, I pitied him and let him go." Allah's Messenger () said, "Indeed, he told you a lie and he will be coming again." I believed that he would show up again as Allah's Messenger () had told me that he would return. So, I waited for him watchfully. When he (showed up and) started stealing handfuls of foodstuff, I caught hold of him again and said, "I will definitely take you to Allah's Messenger (). He said, "Leave me, for I am very needy and have many dependents. I promise I will not come back again." I pitied him and let him go.

In the morning Allah's Messenger () asked me, "What did your prisoner do." I replied, "O Allah's Messenger ()! He complained of his great need and of too many dependents, so I took pity on him and set him free." Allah's Apostle said, "Verily, he told you a lie and he will return." I waited for him attentively for the third time, and when he (came and) started stealing handfuls of the foodstuff, I caught hold of him and said, "I will surely take you to Allah's Messenger () as it is the third time you promise not to return, yet you break your promise and come." He said, "(Forgive me and) I will teach you some words with which Allah will benefit you." I asked, "What are they?" He replied, "Whenever you go to bed, recite "Ayat-al-Kursi"-- 'Allahu la ilaha illa huwa-l-Haiy-ul Qaiyum' till you finish the whole verse. (If you do so), Allah will appoint a guard for you who will stay with you and no satan will come near you till morning. " So, I released him. In the morning, Allah's Apostle asked, "What did your prisoner do yesterday?" I replied, "He claimed that he would teach me some words by which Allah will benefit me, so I let him go." Allah's Messenger () asked, "What are they?" I replied, "He said to me, 'Whenever you go to bed, recite Ayat-al-Kursi from the beginning to the end ---- Allahu la ilaha illa huwa-lHaiy-ul-Qaiyum----.' He further said to me, '(If you do so), Allah will appoint a guard for you who will stay with you, and no satan will come near you till morning.' (Abu Huraira or another sub-narrator) added that they (the companions) were very keen to do good deeds. The Prophet () said, "He really spoke the truth, although he is an absolute liar. Do you know whom you were talking to, these three nights, O Abu Huraira?" Abu Huraira said, "No." He said, "It was Satan."

Narrated `Aisha:

The Prophet () and Abu Bakr employed a (pagan) man from the tribe of Bani Ad-Dail and the tribe of Bani 'Abu bin `Adi as a guide. He was an expert guide and he broke the oath contract which he had to abide by with the tribe of Al-`Asi bin Wail and he was on the religion of Quraish pagans. The Prophet () and Abu Bakr had confidence in him and gave him their riding camels and told him to bring them to the Cave of Thaur after three days. So, he brought them their two riding camels after three days and both of them (The Prophet () and Abu Bakr) set out accompanied by 'Amir bin Fuhaira and the Dili guide who guided them below Mecca along the road leading to the sea-shore.

,Reported by Abu Hurairah (RA): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “The dearest parts on the face of the earth near Allah are its mosques, and the most hated parts near Allah are its markets.’
[Muslim]

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 2776 Narrated by Anas ibn Malik

Allah's Messenger (saws) invoked the curse of Allah on ten people in connection with wine: the wine-presser, the one who has it pressed, the one who drinks it, the one who conveys it, the one to whom it is conveyed, the one who serves it, the one who sells it, the one who benefits from the price paid for it, the one who buys it, and the one for whom it is bought.

narrated by Anas ibn Sa'sa'a:
The Prophet said, "While I was at the House in a state midway between sleep and wakefulness, (an angel recognized me) as the man lying between two men. A golden tray full of wisdom and belief was brought to me and my body was cut open from the throat to the lower part of the abdomen and then my abdomen was washed with Zam-zam water and (my heart was) filled with wisdom and belief.

Al-Buraq, a white animal, smaller than a mule and bigger than a donkey was brought to me and I set out with Jibreel. When I reached the nearest heaven. Jibreel said to the heaven gate-keeper, 'Open the gate.' The gatekeeper asked, 'Who is it?' He said, 'Jibreel.' The gate-keeper asked,' Who is accompanying you?' Gabriel said, 'Muhammad.' The gate-keeper said, 'Has he been called?' Jibreel said, 'Yes.' Then it was said, 'He is welcomed. What a wonderful visit his is!' Then I met Adam and greeted him and he said, 'You are welcomed O son and Prophet.'

Then we ascended to the second heaven. It was asked, 'Who is it?' Jibreel said, 'Jibreel.' It was said, 'Who is with you?' He said, 'Muhammad' It was asked, 'Has he been sent for?' He said, 'Yes.' It was said, 'He is welcomed. What a wonderful visit his is!" Then I met Isa (Jesus) and Yahya (John the Baptist) who said, 'You are welcomed, O brother and a Prophet.'

Then we ascended to the third heaven. It was asked, 'Who is it?' Jibreel said, 'Jibreel.' It was asked, 'Who is with you? Jibreel said, 'Muhammad.' It was asked, 'Has he been sent for?' 'Yes,' said Jibreel. 'He is welcomed. What a wonderful visit his is!' (The Prophet added:). There I met Joseph and greeted him, and he replied, 'You are welcomed, O brother and a Prophet!'

Then we ascended to the 4th heaven and again the same questions and answers were exchanged as in the previous heavens. There I met Idris and greeted him. He said, 'You are welcomed O brother and Prophet.'

Then we ascended to the 5th heaven and again the same questions and answers were exchanged as in previous heavens. there I met and greeted Aaron who said, 'You are welcomed O brother and a Prophet".

Then we ascended to the 6th heaven and again the same questions and answers were exchanged as in the previous heavens. There I met and greeted Moses who said, 'You are welcomed O brother and a Prophet.' When I proceeded on, he started weeping and on being asked why he was weeping, he said, 'O Lord! Followers of this youth who was sent after me will enter Paradise in greater number than my followers.'

Then we ascended to the seventh heaven and again the same questions and answers were exchanged as in the previous heavens. There I met and greeted Ibrahim who said, 'You are welcomed o son and a Prophet.'

Then I was shown Al-Bait-al-Ma'mur (i.e. Allah's House). I asked Jibreel about it and he said, This is Al Bait-ul-Ma'mur where 70,000 angels perform prayers daily and when they leave they never return to it (but always a fresh batch comes into it daily).'

Then I was shown Sidrat al-Muntaha (i.e. a tree in the seventh heaven) and I saw its Nabk fruits which resembled the clay jugs of Hajr (i.e. a town in Arabia), and its leaves were like the ears of elephants, and four rivers originated at its root, two of them were apparent and two were hidden. I asked Jibreel about those rivers and he said, 'The two hidden rivers are in Paradise, and the apparent ones are the Nile and the Euphrates.'Then fifty prayers were enjoined on me. I descended till I met Moses who asked me, 'What have you done?' I said, 'Fifty prayers have been enjoined on me.' He said, 'I know the people better than you, because I had the hardest experience to bring Bani Israel to obedience. Your followers cannot put up with such obligation. So, return to your Lord and request Him (to reduce the number of prayers).' I returned and requested Allah (for reduction) and He made it forty. I returned and (met Moses) and had a similar discussion, and then returned again to Allah for reduction and He made it thirty, then twenty, then ten, and then I came to Moses who repeated the same advice. Ultimately Allah reduced it to five. When I came to Moses again, he said, 'What have you done?' I said, 'Allah has made it five only.' He repeated the same advice but I said that I surrendered (to Allah's Final Order)'" Allah's Apostle was addressed by Allah, "I have decreed My Obligation and have reduced the burden on My servants, and I shall reward a single good deed as if it were ten good deeds.
Sahih al-Bukhari, volume 4,Book 54, Hadith number 429

Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah's Apostle was presented a bowl of milk and a bowl of wine on the night he was taken on a journey (Al-Mi'raj).

narrated on the authority of Anas b. Malik that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: I was brought al-Buraq Who is an animal white and long, larger than a donkey but smaller than a mule, who would place his hoof a distance equal to the range of vision. I mounted it and came to the Temple (Bait Maqdis in Jerusalem), then tethered it to the ring used by the prophets. I entered the mosque and prayed two rak'ahs in it, and then came out and Gabriel brought me a vessel of wine and a vessel of milk. I chose the milk, and Gabriel said: You have chosen the natural thing.

Then he took me to heaven. Jibreel then asked the (gate of heaven) to be opened and he was asked who he was. He replied: Gabriel. He was again asked: Who is with you? He (Jibreel) said: Muhammad. It was said: Has he been sent for? Jibreel replied: He has indeed been sent for. And (the door of the heaven) was opened for us and at first heaven we saw Adam. He welcomed me and prayed for my good.

Then we ascended to the second heaven. Gabriel (peace be upon him) (asked the door of heaven to be opened), and he was asked who he was. He answered: Jibreel; and was again asked: Who is with you? He replied: Muhammad. It was said: Has he been sent for? He replied: He has indeed been sent for. The gate was opened. When I entered 'Isa b. Maryam and Yahya b. Zakariya (peace be upon them), cousins from the maternal side. welcomed me and prayed for my good.

Then I was taken to the third heaven and Jibreel asked for the opening (of the door). He was asked: Who are you? He replied: Jibreel. He was (again) asked: Who is with you? He replied Muhammad ( peace be upon him). It was said: Has he been sent for? He replied He has indeed been sent for. (The gate) was opened for us and I saw Yusuf (peace be upon him) who had been given half of (world) beauty. He welcomed me prayed for my well-being.

Then he ascended with us to the fourth heaven. Jibreel (peace be upon him) asked for the (gate) to be opened, and it was said: Who is he? He replied: Gabriel. It was (again) said: Who is with you? He said: Muhammad. It was said: Has he been sent for? He replied: He has indeed been sent for. The (gate) was opened for us, and lo! Idris was there. He welcomed me and prayed for my well-being (About him) Allah, the Exalted and the Glorious, has said:" We elevated him (Idris) to the exalted position" (Qur'an xix. 57).

Then he ascended with us to the fifth heaven and Jibreel asked for the (gate) to be opened. It was said: Who is he? He replied Jibreel. It was (again) said: Who is with thee? He replied: Muhammad. It was said Has he been sent for? He replied: He has indeed been sent for. (The gate) was opened for us and then I was with Harun (Aaron) for my well-being.

Then I was taken to the sixth heaven. Gabriel (peace be upon him) asked for the door to be opened. It was said: Who is he? He replied: Jibreel. It was said: Who is with thee? He replied: Muhammad. It was said: Has he been sent for? He replied: He has indeed been sent for. (The gate) was opened for us and there I was with Moses (peace be upon him) He welcomed me and prayed for my well-being.

Then I was taken up to the seventh heaven. Jibreel asked the (gate) to be opened. It was said: Who is he? He said: Jibreel It was said. Who is with thee? He replied: Muhammad (peace be upon him.) It was said: Has he been sent for? He replied: He has indeed been sent for. (The gate) was opened for us and there I found Abraham (peace be upon him) reclining against the Bait-ul-Ma'mur and there enter into it seventy thousand angels every day, never to visit (this place) again.

Then I was taken to Sidrat-ul-Muntaha whose leaves were like elephant ears and its fruit like big earthenware vessels. And when it was covered by the Command of Allah, it underwent such a change that none amongst the creation has the power to praise its beauty.

Then Allah revealed to me a revelation and He made obligatory for me fifty prayers every day and night. Then I went down to Moses (peace be upon him) and he said: What has your Lord enjoined upon your Ummah? I said: Fifty prayers. He said: Return to thy Lord and beg for reduction (in the number of prayers), for your community shall not be able to bear this burden as I have put to test the children of Israil and tried them (and found them too weak to bear such a heavy burden).

He (the Holy Prophet) said: I went back to my Lord and said: My Lord, make things lighter for my Ummah. (The Lord) reduced five prayers for me. I went down to Moses and said. (The Lord) reduced five (prayers) for me, He said: Verily thy Ummah shall not be able to bear this burden; return to thy Lord and ask Him to make things lighter.

I then kept going back and forth between my Lord Blessed and Exalted and Moses, till He said: There are five prayers every day and night. O Muhammad, each being credited as ten, so that makes fifty prayers. He who intends to do a good deed and does not do it will have a good deed recorded for him; and if he does it, it will be recorded for him as ten; whereas he who intends to do an evil deed and does not do, it will not be recorded for him; and if he does it, only one evil deed will be recorded.I then came down and when I came to Moses and informed him, he said: Go back to thy Lord and ask Him to make things lighter. Upon this the Messenger of Allah remarked: I returned to my Lord until I felt ashamed before Him.
Sahih Muslim, Book 1, Number 309
Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah: That he heard Allah's Apostle saying, "When the people of Quraish did not believe me (i.e. the story of my Night Journey),
I stood up in Al-Hijr and Allah displayed Jerusalem in front of me, and I began describing it to them while I was looking at it."
Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 58, Number 226[7]
Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: Regarding the Statement of Allah - "And We granted the vision (Ascension to the heavens) which We made you see (as an actual eye witness) was only made as a trial for the people." (17.60) - The sights which Allah's Apostle was shown on the Night Journey when he was taken to Bait-ulMaqdis (i.e. Jerusalem) were actual sights, (not dreams). And the Cursed Tree (mentioned) in the Quran is the tree of Zaqqum (itself).
Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 58, Number 228
Narrated Abu Huraira: On the night Allah's Apostle was taken on a night journey (Mi'raj) two cups, one containing wine and the other milk, were presented to him at Jerusalem. He looked at it and took the cup of milk. Jibreel said, "Praise be to Allah Who guided you to Al-Fitra (the right path); if you had taken (the cup of) wine, your nation would have gone astray."
Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 69, Number 482
Narrated Anas bin Malik: The Prophet said: "While I was walking in Paradise (on the night of Mi'raj), I saw a river, on the two banks of which there were tents made of hollow pearls. I asked, "What is this, O Jibreel?' He said, 'That is the Kauthar which Your Lord has given to you.' Behold! Its scent or its mud was sharp smelling musk!" (The sub-narrator, Hudba is in doubt as to the correct expression.)
Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 8, Book 76, Number 583
It is narrated on the authority of Abdullah (b. Umar) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was taken for the Night journey, he was taken to Sidrat-ul-Muntaha, which is situated on the sixth heaven, where terminates everything that ascends from the earth and is held there, and where terminates every- thing that descends from above it and is held there. (It is with reference to this that) Allah said:" When that which covers covered the lote-tree" (al-Qur'an, Iiii. 16). He (the narrator) said: (It was) gold moths. He (the narrator further) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was given three (things): he was given five prayers, the concluding verses of Sura al-Baqara, and remission of serious Sins for those among his Ummah who associate not anything with Allah.

SA ADHAN NATATAKOT SI SATANAS PERO KASAUSAP AT KAHARAP SI ALLAH HINDI?
MAS TAKOT PA PALA SI SATANAS SA ADHAN KAY SA KAY ALLAH

KAUSAP AT KAHARAP NI SATANAS SI ALLAH "MATAPANG SI SATANAS NA SINAGOT SAGOT SI ALLAH ?

Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man from clay: "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him." So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together:Not so Iblis: ((((((he was haughty))))), and ((((((became one of those who reject Faith.)))))))((Allah)) said: "O Iblis! What prevents thee from prostrating thyself to one whom I have created with my hands? Art thou haughty? Or art thou one of the high (and mighty) ones?"(Iblis) said: "I am better than he: thou createdst me from fire, and him thou createdst from clay."
((Allah)) said: "Then get thee out from here: for thou art rejected, accursed.(Surah 38:71-77)

DITO NAMAN SA HADITH NA ITO MAGKARING LANG NG ADHAN SI IBLIS NANGINGINIG NA TUHOD SA SUBRANG TAKOT SABAY TAKBOOOO

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "When the Adhan is pronounced Satan takes to his heels and passes wind with noise during his flight in order not to hear the Adhan. When the Adhan is completed he comes back and again takes to his heels when the Iqama is pronounced and after its completion he returns again till he whispers into the heart of the person (to divert his attention from his prayer) and makes him remember things which he does not recall to his mind before the prayer and that causes him to forget how much he has prayed."

Sahih Bukhari 1:11:582
“Then He AWJ will say: ‘Oh Jibril, there is no escape from death’. (The Prophet SAWS) said: ‘Then (Jibril) will fall down prostrating and beating his wings while saying: ‘Glory to you my Lord, Blessed and Elevated, Oh owner of perfection and honor; you are the Everlasting, and Jibril is of those who die and perish’. (The Prophet SAWS) said: ‘And his soul will be taken into the ring (Halqah) from which it was created…” [The only thing I could find about this narration without looking up the narrators myself is that Ibn Hajar weakened it]

In regards to the Tafsir for the Ayah in question, then it is according to at-Tabari:

The exegetes differed regarding who Allah intended to exclude in this Ayah- some of them said He intended Jibril, Mika’il, Israfil and Malak al-Mawt by it.

And others said- He intended the martyrs by that.

And others said- He intended to exclude the martyrs from the (blow of) fright, and to exclude Jibril, Malak al-Mawt, and the bearers of the Throne from (the blow of) death.

[This is in reference to the belief that there will be 3 sounds of the horn- the first meaning 'fright', the second meaning 'death', and the third meaning 'rising']

(Then the Hadith on authority of Abu Hurayrah about Jibril and the angels dying is mentioned and at-Tabari says):

"This opinion which is transmitted regarding that on authority of the Prophet SAWS is the most worthy of being correct since the Sa’qah here means ‘death’, and the martyrs, even if they are alive near Allah, as Allah informed us, then indeed they had tasted death before that. And He only intended to exclude at this point those who could be stricken by the blowing of the horn, not those who had died long before that; and that if it is possible that those intended are the ones who had already been destroyed, and who had tasted death before the time of the blowing of the horn, it would follow that those intended could not be those who had been destroyed, then tasted death before that since he is dead, and he could not be killed again if he is already dead."

And others said about that on authority of al-Hasan: 'Will Allah exempt (some) and not leave behind anyone from the inhabitants of the heavens or earth except those who tasted death?' Qatadah said: ‘Allah will indeed exempt (some), and Allah knows best to whom belong His exemption’.

"Angels come to you in succession by night and day, and all of them assemble together at the time of the Fajr (dawn) and 'Asr (afternoon) prayers. Those (angels) who have spent the night with you ascend (to Heaven). Allah asks them, although He knows everything about you, "In what state did you leave my slaves?" the angels reply, "When we left them they were praying and when we reached them they were praying."

(Hadith)

Allah says (addressing the angels), "If My slave intends to do a bad deed, do not write it down unless he does it. If he does it, then write it down as it is. But if he refrains from doing it for My sake, then write it as a good deed. If he intends to do a good deed but does not do it, write a good deed (in his account), and if he does it, then write it for him as ten good deeds up to seven hundred times."

(Hadith)
The prophet was eager for the welfare of his people, desiring to win them to him by any means he could. It has been reported that he longed for a way to win them, and part of what he did to that end is what Ibn Humayd told me, from Salama, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, from Yazīd ibn Ziyād al-Madanī, from Muhammad ibn Ka'b al-Qurazī:
When the prophet saw his people turning away from him, and was tormented by their distancing themselves from what he had brought to them from God, he longed in himself for something to come to him from God which would draw him close to them. With his love for his people and his eagerness for them, it would gladden him if some of the hard things he had found in dealing with them could be alleviated. He pondered this in himself, longed for it, and desired it.
Then God sent down the revelation. 'By the star when it sets! Your companion has not erred or gone astray, and does not speak from mere fancy…' [Q.53:1] When he reached God's words, "Have you seen al-Lāt and al-'Uzzā and Manāt, the third, the other?' [Q.53:19-20]((((((( Satan cast upon his tongue,))))))) because of what he had pondered in himself and longed to bring to his people, 'These are the high-flying cranes and their intercession is to be hoped for.'
When Quraysh heard that, they rejoiced. What he had said about their gods pleased and delighted them, and they gave ear to him. The Believers trusted in their prophet with respect to what he brought them from their Lord: they did not suspect any slip, delusion or error. When he came to the prostration and finished the chapter, he prostrated and the Muslims followed their prophet in it, having faith in what he brought them and obeying his command. Those mushrikūn of Quraysh and others who were in the mosque also prostrated on account of what they had heard him say about their gods. In the whole mosque there was no believer or kāfir who did not prostrate. Only al-Walīd bin al-Mughīra, who was an aged shaykh and could not make prostration, scooped up in his hand some of the soil from the valley of Mecca [and pressed it to his forehead]. Then everybody dispersed from the mosque.
Quraysh went out and were delighted by what they had heard of the way in which he spoke of their gods. They were saying, 'Muhammad has referred to our gods most favourably. In what he has recited he said that they are "high-flying cranes whose intercession is to be hoped for".'
Those followers of the Prophet who had emigrated to the land of Abyssinia heard about the affair of the prostration, and it was reported to them that Quraysh had accepted Islam. Some men among them decided to return while others remained behind.
Gabriel came to the Prophet and said, 'O Muhammad, what have you done! You have recited to the people something which I have not brought you from God, and you have spoken what He did not say to you.'
At that the Prophet was mightily saddened and greatly feared God. But God, of His mercy, sent him a revelation, comforting him and diminishing the magnitude of what had happened. God told him that there had never been a previous prophet or apostle who had longed just as Muhammad had longed, and desired just as Muhammad had desired, but that Satan had cast into his longing just as he had cast onto the tongue of Muhammad. But God abrogates what Satan has cast, and puts His verses in proper order. That is, 'you are just like other prophets and apostles.'
And God revealed: 'We never sent any apostle or prophet before you but that, when he longed, Satan cast into his longing. But God abrogates what Satan casts in, and then God puts His verses in proper order, for God is all-knowing and wise.' [Q.22:52]
So God drove out the sadness from His prophet and gave him security against what he feared. He abrogated what Satan had cast upon his tongue in referring to their gods: 'They are the high-flying cranes whose intercession is accepted [sic]'. [Replacing those words with] the words of God when Allāt, al-'Uzzā and Manāt the third, the other are mentioned: 'Should you have males and He females [as offspring]! That, indeed, would be an unfair division. They are only names which you and your fathers have given them'… as far as 'As many as are the angels in heaven, their intercession shall be of no avail unless after God has permitted it to whom He pleases and accepts' [Q.53:21-26]- meaning, how can the intercession of their gods be of any avail with Him?
When there had come from God the words which abrogated what Satan had cast on to the tongue of His prophet, Quraysh said, 'Muhammad has gone back on what he said about the status of our gods relative to God, changed it and brought something else', for the two phrases which Satan had cast on to the tongue of the Prophet had found a place in the mouth of every polytheist. They, therefore, increased in their evil and in their oppression of everyone among them who had accepted Islam and followed the Prophet.(History of Al-Tabari Tarikh Vol.1)
